Mercari bundles for sellers: bundle offers, shipping and returns
A Mercari bundle is several items from one seller, bought together and shipped in one box. You sell more at once and pack only one package. You don’t need to create a custom listing — buyers build the bundle from your listings themselves.
Two ways buyers bundle
- Buy Now bundle: the buyer adds your items to their cart and checks out, with a maximum of $2,000. Mercari’s page says up to 20 items per bundle (one section mentions ten — check the app). Shipping uses a single Mercari prepaid label.
- Bundle offer: the buyer adds your items to the cart, taps Bundle items and make offer, and names a price (up to $2,000).
Item discounts and coupons don’t apply to bundles.
Handling a bundle offer
You get an email and a notification. You have 24 hours to accept, counter or decline, in the app or on Mercari.com.
- If any item in the bundle sells before you respond, the offer is cancelled and the buyer has to send a new one.
- Once an offer or counteroffer is accepted, the buyer is charged immediately.
Bundles work best for small, light items — clothes that go together, trading cards, figurines. Large, bulky or fragile items are hard to pack safely together.
Who pays shipping
Mercari calculates bundle shipping from the items chosen — it adds up the highest individual weight for each item and picks the cheapest prepaid label in that weight range. The buyer sees the final cost at checkout.
- All items buyer-paid: the buyer pays all shipping.
- A mix of buyer-paid and seller-paid items: Mercari decides who pays. If you end up paying, the charge won’t exceed the original shipping you’d have paid on each item.
Shipping Protection of up to $200 still applies to the bundle as a whole. For a high-value bundle, consider extra insurance, and keep the package within the size and weight limits — see Mercari shipping.
Returns
Partial returns aren’t accepted. To get a refund, the buyer must send back every item in the bundle. Take a photo of the bundle before you seal the box — it helps if there’s a dispute. See Mercari returns for sellers.
