TikTok Shop product image size and requirements
TikTok Shop checks product images when it reviews a listing, and image problems are a common reason a product gets rejected. These are the requirements in TikTok Shop’s US Product Listing Policy.
Size and number of images
- At least 600 × 600 pixels for every product image.
- Up to 9 images, and they’re square.
- One must be chosen as the main image.
A practical choice: square images of 1200 × 1200 pixels or larger. They clear the minimum comfortably and look sharp on phone screens.
The main image
- Must show the front of the product.
- Must have a pure white background.
- Must be an objective, straightforward picture of the product for sale.
Rules for all images
- No added logos, text, borders, watermarks or graphics, on the product or in the background.
- No placeholders or digital renderings — show the real product.
- Only what the customer will receive. Don’t show accessories that aren’t included.
- Don’t use several images of the same angle. The other images should show the back, sides, details and accessories; you can also show features, use, variations, close-ups and size comparisons.
TikTok Shop’s listing quality guidance also asks for clear, non-blurry images, and its listing quality tiers reward using five or more images.
If your product was rejected for images
Go through the list above in order: size, white main background, no added text or logos, no renderings. Promotional banners (“50% OFF”, “Best seller”) and supplier photos with watermarks are the usual culprits. Fix the images, then resubmit; see TikTok Shop product status for what each status means.
These are the US rules. If you sell in another TikTok Shop region, check that region’s Seller Center — requirements can differ.
