eBay Store subscription fees: Starter, Basic, Premium, Anchor — is it worth it?
An eBay Store gives you more free listings and lower final value fees in exchange for a monthly fee. Whether it’s worth it depends on how many items you list and sell. Here are eBay’s numbers for ebay.com.
Monthly price
| Store | Monthly renewal | Yearly renewal |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $7.95 | $4.95 |
| Basic | $27.95 | $21.95 |
| Premium | $74.95 | $59.95 |
| Anchor | $349.95 | $299.95 |
| Enterprise | Not available | $2,999.95 |
Either way, eBay charges the fee every month until you cancel. A yearly plan is cheaper per month but commits you for the year — see eBay’s Stores Subscription Terms for what happens if you cancel or downgrade early. You need an automatic payment method on file to open a Store.
Free listings per month
| Store | Auction-style | Fixed price | Insertion fee after allowance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 250 total (auction + fixed price) | $0.30 | |
| Basic | 250 in select categories | 1,000 all categories + 10,000 in select categories | $0.25 |
| Premium | 500 in select categories | 10,000 all categories + 50,000 in select categories | $0.15 auction / $0.10 fixed price |
| Anchor | 1,000 in select categories | 25,000 all categories + 75,000 in select categories | $0.10 auction / $0.05 fixed price |
| Enterprise | 2,500 in select categories | 100,000 all categories + 100,000 in select categories | $0.10 auction / $0.05 fixed price |
Good ’Til Cancelled listings renew every month, and each renewal uses a free listing (or costs an insertion fee). Basic and higher also get insertion fees credited back for auction-style listings that sell, with exclusions.

Lower final value fees
Store subscribers pay a lower final value fee percentage than non-Store sellers in many categories, plus the same $0.40 per order ($0.30 for orders of $10 or less). The rate varies by category — check eBay’s Store fee table for yours. Our eBay fee calculator uses the non-Store rates, so a Store seller will pay a little less on most items.
What a Store doesn’t do
- It doesn’t raise your selling limits. eBay says so directly — see eBay selling limits.
- Category and item limits still apply, and may stop you using your full allowance.
- Some categories are excluded from zero insertion fee listings.
Is it worth it?
A rough way to decide:
- Free listings: every seller gets 250 free listings a month, then pays $0.35 each in most categories (see eBay listing fees). Starter keeps the same 250 but cuts the fee after that to $0.30; Basic and above add 1,000 or more. Count how many insertion fees you pay now.
- Final value fee: multiply your monthly sales by the difference between the Store and non-Store rates in your category.
- Compare the total with the monthly fee for each level.
In general, the more listings you have beyond 250 a month, the more a Store saves you.
