How long does TikTok Shop take to pay out?
New TikTok Shop sellers are often surprised that money from a sale doesn’t show up for weeks. That’s by design: the clock starts at delivery, not at the sale, and how long it runs depends on your shop’s performance.
The settlement tiers
TikTok Shop starts the payout 1 to 31 days after the order is delivered, under its Dynamic Settlement Policy:
| Tier | Days after delivery | Who gets it |
|---|---|---|
| Introductory | 31 days | New or probationary sellers (probation) |
| Standard | 8 days | The default for established sellers |
| Accelerated | 5 days | Shop Performance Score (SPS) of 3.5 or higher |
| Express | 1 day | SPS of 4.0 or higher |
After TikTok Shop initiates the payout, it typically takes 1–3 business days for the money to appear in your bank account.
So for a new shop, a realistic timeline is: shipping time + 31 days + a few business days.
Why a payout is late or smaller than expected
- The order isn’t delivered yet. Nothing settles before delivery is confirmed.
- An after-sales request is open. TikTok Shop says after-sales requests must be resolved before payout is sent — see TikTok Shop returns and refunds for the deadlines.
- Your balance is under $1. Payouts start once the settlement amount reaches the $1 minimum.
- A negative balance is being paid off. Refunds and other negative amounts are deducted from your next payout.
- Your bank account details don’t match. The account name has to match the name you onboarded with, or payouts fail.
- You dropped a tier. If your SPS falls — for example from slow return handling — TikTok Shop can move you back to a slower tier.
You can follow each order in Finances: unsettled orders, payouts that are Processing, and payouts marked Paid.
How to get paid faster
- Raise your Shop Performance Score. 3.5 unlocks 5-day settlement and 4.0 unlocks next-day settlement. Ship on time, handle returns quickly and keep your listings accurate.
- Early Settlement. Eligible sellers can get part of an order’s income soon after shipping instead of waiting for delivery. TikTok Shop charges a 0.5%–1% service fee on the amount advanced (depending on your offer), and the fee isn’t refunded if the order is later returned. Find it under Finance → Capital in Seller Center.
