TikTok Shop new shop probation: how long it lasts and how to graduate
If your new TikTok Shop can only take a handful of orders a day, or your products suddenly show as out of stock, you’re probably in probation. It isn’t a penalty: TikTok Shop puts every new shop in its New Shop Probation Program.
The tiers and their limits

How long does probation last?
There’s no fixed timeline. TikTok Shop says shops typically graduate as soon as they consistently meet performance and compliance standards — reliable fulfillment, accurate listings and responsive customer support.
Why your products show “out of stock”
The probation cap is a daily Order Volume Limit (OVL). When you reach it, your products appear out of stock to customers, and you can’t receive more orders until the limit resets the next day.

Why your limit is lower than 50
During probation, TikTok Shop can temporarily lower your OVL as part of a routine account, performance, compliance or security review. TikTok Shop says this doesn’t mean you have a violation, though moving up a tier may be delayed while the review runs.
A violation can also set an OVL. If it does, you’ll see a ticket under Shop Health → Violation Records, where you can appeal — and the lower of the two limits applies. See TikTok Shop violation points.
How to graduate faster
- Register with valid, accurate business information.
- Use clear product titles and images — see TikTok Shop product image size.
- Ship on time with a valid tracking number.
- Answer customers quickly; avoid cancellations and complaints.
- Keep fulfilling genuine orders — TikTok Shop reassesses accounts periodically.
