Vinted fees for sellers: what you pay (nothing) and what buyers pay

“How much does Vinted take?” is one of the most searched Vinted questions. For sellers, the answer is simple: nothing. Vinted puts its fee on the buyer instead. Here’s how it works, based on Vinted’s UK help centre.

What sellers pay

Vinted says there are no fees for uploading your items or selling them, and that you receive the full payment for your item to your Vinted Balance. There are no subscriptions or recurring payments.

So if an item sells for £20, you receive £20. A Vinted fee calculator for sellers is really just: your price = what you get.

What buyers pay

Buyers pay a mandatory Vinted fee (previously called the Buyer Protection fee) at checkout, on top of your price. Vinted describes it as a percentage of the price plus a fixed amount — usually 3% to 8% + £0.30 to £0.80 — and says the exact amount depends on the item, the order value, and whether it’s a single item or a bundle.

Buyers see the fee in each listing’s price breakdown and in the order summary at checkout. Because the buyer pays it, a lower price on your side still helps you compete: the buyer’s total is your price plus the fee plus shipping.

Optional paid extras for sellers

Selling is free, but Vinted offers paid features to make listings more visible:

  • Bump — puts an item higher in members’ newsfeeds and search results for 3 or 7 days, or until it sells. You can lower a bumped item’s price, but not raise it.
  • Showcase — boosts the visibility of your listings more broadly.

These are optional. See Vinted items not selling for free ways to improve visibility first.

Fees and rules differ between Vinted’s country sites. Check the help centre for your own country, and the order summary for the exact buyer fee on any item.
