Walmart item unpublished?
Read the reason, then fix it.

Seller Center tells you why an item is unpublished, but not always what to do. Pick the status and reason, add your product name and key features, and the tool lays out the fixes in order.

Item not showing up? Check in this order

An unpublished or out-of-stock item can’t sell, whatever its content says.

1

Open the Unpublished items dashboard

Seller Center → Catalog → Unpublished items shows each item’s reason.

2

Fix the stated reason

Price, primary image, start/end dates or a policy issue — each has its own fix.

3

Keep the price competitive

Items priced well above other retailers can be unpublished automatically.

4

Check inventory

Out-of-stock items can’t be bought.

5

Then improve content

Images, attributes, product name and key features help shoppers find and choose the item.

Common causes at a glance

Walmart’s developer docs list the five most common unpublish reasons; policy issues are the sixth.

Reasonable price not satisfied

The price (including shipping) is much higher than on a competing site.

Primary image missing

Items need a primary image to be published.

End date passed

The offer’s end date is in the past; resubmit with new dates.

Start date in the future

The item waits until its start date.

No price

Walmart has no price for the item.

Trust & safety

Regulatory compliance, offensive products or IP violations get items unpublished.

Easy-to-misread situations

I lowered the price but the item is still unpublished.

Walmart’s guidance is that you can keep lowering it until the item republishes. Check the dashboard again after each change rather than resubmitting the whole item.

The item is published but gets no traffic.

Then it’s about content and competitiveness: complete attributes, more images, a clear product name, price and shipping speed.

The checker finds nothing. Now what?

Look at reviews, fulfillment speed and whether another seller wins the offer on the same item page.
